It's not the easiest of topics to talk about, but it's really important that you men out there are aware of any changes to your prostate - the gland located beneath the bladder.Recently in Parliament I met with Prostate Nurse Specialist and Trustee of Prostate UK, Kate Holmes. She told me just how prevalent prostate disease is. For example, in Enfield alone, around 12,800 men are likely to suffer from benign prostatic hyperplasia. BHP isn't cancerous but it can result in a weaker urinary system and difficulty emptying the bladder, which can make life a misery.Basically, if you're experiencing any unexplained urinary symptoms then rather than assuming that they're a normal part of ageing, don't suffer in silence, seek medical advice from your GP.
